Raisin Buns

Ingredients 1 Kg white flour (not Gluten free)
2 cups of milk
25 g dry yeast
3/4 cup of sugar
1 egg
150 g of butter
1 level teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of raisins (or sultanas) 
Preparation Pre heat oven to 200 °C

Mix the flour and the yeast.

Add the sugar, eggs, butter and milk.

Mix very well for about 5 / 10 minutes until a smooth paste is formed.

Add the salt and mix well again.

Add the dried fruit and mix just enough to spread the fruit throughout the mix. Do not over mix.

Cover bowl with a tea-towel and eave to stand for about 15 minutes.

Remove from the bowl, split into bun size pieces and roll into balls.

Leave to stand for approx 45 minutes.

Bake for about half an hour or until done.
